SendAs Relay

Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-03.

SendAs Relay ("the extension") is a browser extension for Firefox and Microsoft Edge, with a relay service ("the relay") and this website, made by Adam Hale ("we"). This policy explains what data they handle. In short: we don't collect personal data. What's needed to send your email stays on your device or passes through the relay without being stored.

Data the extension keeps on your device

Stored in your browser's extension storage, never sent to us:

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. "Reset stored passwords" in the settings deletes the passwords.

Data the extension reads in Gmail

When you click Send with one of your other addresses selected, the extension reads that compose window (recipients, subject, text, images and attachments) to build the email. For replies, it fetches the original message's headers through Gmail's "Show original", using your own signed-in Gmail session, to keep the conversation together. This happens in your browser. The extension doesn't read other messages, your inbox or your contacts, and does nothing when your Gmail address is selected.

Data sent to the relay

To send a message, the extension sends the relay, over HTTPS: the message itself, the recipient addresses, and the SMTP server, port, username and password of the address you're sending from. For a Gmail Sent copy, it also sends the copy with your Gmail address and Gmail app password.

The relay uses these only to deliver the message to your email provider and, if chosen, save the copy in Gmail. It does not store them, has logging switched off, and has no database. To prevent abuse, it keeps a count of sends per SMTP account (server name and username) for one minute in Cloudflare's rate limiter.

The hosted relay runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes network traffic, including IP addresses, as the hosting provider under its privacy policy. If you configure your own relay, the extension sends this data to your relay instead and never to ours.

Your email provider (for example Yahoo or iCloud) and Google (for the Sent copy) receive the message as they would from any email app, under their own privacy policies.

Licence keys and payments

Pro licence keys are verified offline inside the extension; checking a key sends nothing anywhere. Pro isn't on sale yet. When it is, payment will be handled by a payment provider, which will receive the details needed for the purchase (such as your email address and payment information) under its own privacy policy, and this policy will be updated before sales start.

This website

The website is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts and uses no analytics. Cloudflare processes requests, including IP addresses, as the hosting provider.

What we don't do

No analytics or telemetry in the extension. No advertising. No selling or sharing of data. No accounts. We have no access to your mailbox.

Your rights

Because we don't keep personal data about you, there's nothing for us to hand over, correct or delete. Everything the extension holds is on your device, and you can delete it by removing the extension. If you have a question about this policy, contact adam.hale@atomicmail.ai.

Children

The extension isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them (we don't collect personal data at all).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the extension's release notes.
